SPORT brings good news for Barcelona before the crucial match against Real Madrid in La Liga

Sport newspaper has good news for Barcelona ahead of their crucial match against Real Madrid in the 35th round of the Spanish Premier League.

Barcelona leads the La Liga standings with 79 points, 4 points ahead of Real Madrid, who sits in second place with 75 points. A win in this match would put the Catalan team closer to winning the title, as they would then need just two points from their remaining three matches.

Barcelona enters the match with low morale after being eliminated from the Champions League following a controversial semi-final defeat to Inter Milan that went into extra time.

According to the aforementioned newspaper, Barcelona received a major morale boost with Alejandro Balde’s return to group training on Thursday and his medical clearance to participate in the Clasico against Real Madrid.

During Barcelona’s trip to Leganés, Balde sustained an injury to the distal biceps muscle in his left thigh, making his absence particularly sensitive for Flick. Not only did the Barcelona player arrive at this final stage of the season in excellent shape, but he was also an undisputed key player in Flick’s squad.
