Barcelona agrees to sell the beloved star to Inter Milan for €60 million

Inter Milan’s name continues to loom large in Barcelona’s horizon. After a bitter elimination at the hands of the club in the Champions League semi-finals, the Nerazzurri have once again appeared in the news alongside the Blaugrana, but this time off the pitch.

According to Mundo Deportivo, citing Italian network Calciomercato, Inter Milan is planning to sign a Barcelona star in the current summer transfer window.

According to the aforementioned sources, Inter Milan is keen to sign Fermin Lopez to replace 36-year-old Henrique Mukhtarin, whose contract expires in 2026.

The reigning Italian league champions, who qualified for the 2025 Champions League final, are looking to add new players to their ranks. Although Inter has not yet submitted an official offer, they have identified the 22-year-old as a prime target in the upcoming transfer window.

Barcelona, already bound by Financial Fair Play rules and strict wage cap restrictions, is prioritizing contract renewals over big-name signings this summer.

Although Fermin López is not considered an undisputed starter under Hansi Flick, his strong performances as a substitute have made him a prime candidate for a sale to generate much-needed revenue. Barcelona are said to be open to negotiations and have set a price tag of €60 million.
