Julian Alvarez agrees to join Barcelona

The search for a new Barcelona striker looks set to be postponed until another summer, with Robert Lewandowski approaching his 37th birthday.

Ferran Torres’s strong performances have allowed this to happen, which could prompt Barcelona to decide to postpone the move indefinitely until next season, but the club is considering its options.

Barcelona president Joan Laporta distanced the club from signing Erling Haaland on Monday, while the club has expressed interest in players such as Alexander Isak and Victor Gjokeres, two players who appear to be out of his reach.

According to El Chiringuito, Julian Alvarez, the Atletico Madrid star who joined last summer, is also on the shortlist to bolster Barcelona’s attack.

According to El Chiringuito, Barcelona wants to sign Julian Alvarez in 2026, and he is clear that he should be a replacement for Lewandowski.

Surprisingly, Julian Alvarez and his agents have announced that if a respectable offer from Barcelona arrives, he will, in the current situation, evaluate it and possibly present it to Atletico Madrid for approval.
