The first player to leave Barcelona after the end of the season

Spanish newspaper El Nacional has revealed the first player to leave Barcelona after the end of the current season, in which the team won the domestic treble of La Liga, Copa del Rey, and Spanish Super Cup.
Work is underway at Barcelona’s offices to bolster the squad with new signings before the start of next season, but the futures of existing players will be decided before that.
According to the aforementioned newspaper, Hansi Flick informed Barcelona’s management that he does not want goalkeeper Iñaki Peña to remain with the team next season, and his departure would be the first move of the summer transfer window.
Although his contract is still valid, the goalkeeper is already looking for a new destination where he can regain the minutes he was deprived of at Barcelona.
Iñaki Peña’s season at Barcelona was marked by ups and downs. He was an undisputed starter during Ter Stegen’s injury, playing a decisive role in several key matches.
But everything changed when Barcelona signed Wojciech Szczesny. Flick relied on the Pole’s experience during the crucial stages of the season, leaving Iñaki on the bench.
