Barcelona announces the return of its former player

Spanish club Barcelona announced the return of its former player in an official statement published on social media platforms on Thursday.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona announced on Thursday the signing of 17-year-old striker Nuhu Fofana from Cornella, who had trained with Barcelona’s youth teams years ago.

Nuhu Fofana had a great season at Cornellà, which earned him a call-up to Barcelona. The striker signed his contract as a Barça player on Thursday alongside Joan Soler, director of youth football, and JosÊ Ramón Alexanco, director of youth football.

Of Malian origin, Nuhu Fofana is a fast and powerful striker whose good performances earned him his first-team debut for Cornellà. He played in the Copa Catalunya against Cerdanyola del Vallès and also played minutes in a league match against Espanyol B. Fofana has scored six goals in 18 appearances for Juvenil B and two more for Juvenil A.

The arrival of Nuhu Fofana follows the contract renewal of Papa Kourouma, the 16-year-old defender who is considered one of the greatest talents in the La Masia academy and will be a pillar of the youth team next season.
