Barcelona offers 9 players for sale

Barcelona is preparing for a very hot summer transfer window, as the team needs strong reinforcements in several positions, most notably a striker, an attacking midfielder, and a goalkeeper, if Szczesny does not accept his renewal offer.

According to Catalan newspaper Sport, Barcelona will have to sell some players to raise enough money to finance new signings, and there are already names on sporting director Deco’s list of potential transfer targets.

According to Sport, Deco believes that the players not in Hansi Flick’s starting lineup are up for sale and that the club will listen to offers as they come in, but only if they are tailored to each player’s characteristics.

Sport confirmed that the names on the table for a potential exit are: Iñaki Peña, Araujo, Hector Fort, Fermin Lopez, Gavi, De Jong if his contract is not renewed, Pablo Torre, Pau Victor, and Ansu Fati.

Some of the names on this list are surprising, such as Gavi and De Jong. The former is a Barcelona youth product, having graduated from La Masia and was only held back by injury. The Dutch midfielder has established himself as a key figure in Hansi Flick’s squad in recent times, and his inclusion on the transfer list is a surprise.
