Flick completely excludes the Barcelona player from his plans

Barcelona is making steady progress toward the three titles it is competing for this season. It leads La Liga by four points over Real Madrid, has reached the Champions League semi-finals, and will face Inter Milan. It also has a date with its arch-rivals in the Copa del Rey final on April 26.

With the exception of the recent defeat to Borussia Dortmund in the second leg of the Champions League quarter-finals, Barcelona’s results under Hansi Flick have been steadily improving, and the dressing room’s confidence in the German coach is growing by the day.

Hansi Flick is keeping his squad fairly steady, making small changes in matches to rotate and rest key players from the pressure of matches to maintain their fitness in the final metres of the season.

But there is one player who has remained constant in his place since he started, and that is Szczesny. Barcelona have only suffered one defeat while he was between the sticks, and that was against Dortmund, and it wasn’t even a significant defeat because the team secured qualification after that.

With Ter Stegen back in group training after recovering from injury, Hansi Flick has not opened any discussion about the German goalkeeper’s return to the starting lineup.

According to Sport, Ter Stegen will not play another match this season and Szczesny will keep his place until the end unless he suffers an injury or suspension, a decision that is not negotiable by Hansi Flick.
