Atletico Madrid striker rejects Real Madrid: “I’ll retire from football before joining them”

Although the summer transfer window is still many months away, rumors are starting to dominate the news, especially about players linked with Real Madrid for next season. It seems they’re looking to strengthen several positions and are keeping an eye on several names.
However, they could also be ruling out a La Liga striker who has made it clear he’s not an option. Carlos MarĂn, a striker from AlavĂ©s , where he’s on loan this season. However, he’s currently at AtlĂ©tico, which seems to be weighing heavily on his potential decision.
And in an interview with Kiroleros, he revealed that he can’t stand the sight of Real Madrid. Speaking of hypotheticals, they asked him what he would do if Florentino Perez put 50 million on the table . A substantial sum for a player of his stature, but his response was categorical.
” I’d rather leave football than go to Real Madrid. I’m very clear about it, no one’s going to talk me out of that idea,” he confessed. He’d rather remain unemployed than end up at AtlĂ©tico’s capital rival. Words that undoubtedly reflect the AtlĂ©tico fans’ feelings toward their neighbors.
Real Madrid are not reconsidering his signing in the slightest.
Despite the hypothesis presented to him, it has only served to launch that attack on Real Madrid. Among other reasons, because Carlos MarĂn’s name isn’t part of the Real Madrid team’s plans . They aren’t even considering signing him, as they believe they don’t need him.
Not only because they have a well-covered forward line with Vinicius, Rodrygo, and MbappĂ© as starters. On the bench is Endrick , who has a bright future ahead of him, as he’s already demonstrated. They even believe that Gonzalo has greater potential at Castilla than the AlavĂ©s player.
Therefore, he’s not a name they have on their list as a possible signing for the future. Carlos can rest assured that he won’t have to leave football because of an offer from Real Madrid. It remains to be seen whether he’d be able to do so, if necessary.
