Messi spent three months without speaking to his teammate in Argentina for defending Barça

Leandro Paredes has explained that, as a result of a fight, he went three months without speaking to Leo Messi in 2021, when they both shared a dressing room at PSG . That did not hinder the great friendship that unites both Argentine internationals. The fact is that Leo got angry with the midfielder during a Champions League match between PSG and FC Barcelona.
On February 16, 2021, Barça hosted PSG in the first leg of the Champions League round of 16. Mauricio Pochettino’s men won 4-1 and after Kylian Mbappé’s second goal – he scored three that day – Paredes made a comment to encourage his teammates, disparaging the Barça team. As there was no public due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Messi heard him and reprimanded him with insults and gestures. The relationship suffered a brief setback.
“We didn’t speak for about three months. I had a really bad time,” Paredes revealed to ‘Infobae’. She added: “I sent him a message the next day, I sent him a message 15 days later… I told him: ‘It wasn’t for you, it wasn’t meant to offend.’ And he didn’t respond. He didn’t answer for three months.”
They met again in June, in the double matchday before the Copa America. That’s when everything was resolved. Paredes, nervous, was waiting to see how the captain would treat him. “It had been three months since we spoke. I thought: ‘Now I have to see how he reacts.’ But no, it was amazing, amazing, because we arrived at the training camp on the same day. I arrived a little early and he appeared in my room. I was brushing my teeth. It was very early and he threw water on me and said: ‘What are you doing up so early?’
